Economic outlook

As you are no doubt already aware, the economic outlook for the industry remains fraught with uncertainty due to the global economy and the Corona pandemic. Various international and national economic institutes are forecasting significantly below-average growth for the European and Swiss economies in 2023. Growth of 1% is expected for Switzerland and moderate growth of 2.0% for Europe.

Price adjustments in 2023

Regrettably, price adjustments are not yet a thing of the past and we see further increases across the board, but with the exception of Hermes and 3M abrasives. The reasons for the increases are rising raw material prices due to the Corona pandemic, supply shortages, material shortages at key suppliers and increased demand for certain products. However, we are making every effort to minimize the impact to our customers.

Superfinish devices

We are pleased to announce that prices for Superfinish equipment will remain stable until the end of 2023. This is an important step to accommodate our customers during this difficult time.

New website and business field

Despite these adverse circumstances, we continue to work on the digitalization of our products and services. We have redesigned our website to further improve the user experience. In addition, we are pleased to announce that we are in the process of establishing a new business field in the area of industrial automation. We will provide you with more information as soon as the automation website is online.

In the last weeks we have received more and more messages from our suppliers, who are talking about or will carry out possible price adjustments.

techno-finish Industries GmbH would like to prepare you with this e-mail for possible unscheduled price adjustments for the year 2021.

The reasons for these price adjustments are mainly explained by our suppliers with the increased demand for raw materials, which leads to an increase in the price of various products. During the last years we were in the favorable position not to pass on some price increases to our customers or to pass them on in a very moderate way. The circumstances do not allow us to cushion upcoming price increases without further notice.

If concrete price adjustments should reach us, we would proceed as follows:

When we become aware of the new prices, we will send our customers an offer with the affected products, informing them about the amount and the date of the price adjustment.
